On November 27, Mnet announced the addition of the top acts through their Twitter account, (@mnetmama). Anticipation continues to rise for MAMA, with less than one week until the event. The inclusion of EXO follows news that the group will release a holiday album on December 10 titled "Sing for You."
EXO currently leads the 2015 MAMA Star Cheer Battle, with more than 57,000 roses recorded on November 27. The popular male group continues to face stiff competition from Big Bang for the popular vote in categories including Best Male Group, Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.
However, the fan vote accounts for a percentage in these key categories, which will reflect numerous factors to determine the award winners. For example, the Artist of the Year award factors in 20 percent in the criteria of online voting, the MAMA professional voting panel, and social media or research, music sales, following by 10 percent in record sales and the MAMA selection committee.
The SM Entertainment artists joined the dynamic lineup of MAMA 2015 performers which includes Big Bang, CL, PSY, iKON, GOT7. BTS, f(x), J.Y. Park (Park Jin Young), and Zion.T.
K-Drama and film stars will appear as presenters. Actresses Park Shin Hyej (Pinocchio), Gong Hyo Jin (Producer), Park Bo Young (A Werewolf Boy), Kim So Eun (Boys Over Flowers), After School's Uee, will be joined by actors including Lee Kwang Soo (Running Man), Seo Kang Joon (Cheese in the Trap), and Yoo Yeon Seok (The Beauty Inside).
The 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards will be held on December 2 at AsiaWorld-Expo Center in Hong Kong. Tickets for the event are available online, with will-call pickup, through Hong Kong Ticketing.
Audiences who are unable to attend the event can watch live streams including the broadcast on KCON.TV, which will air from 12 a.m. PST/3 a.m. EST through 6 a.m. PST/9 a.m. EST.
